This tunnel is next to US 68's Kentucky River crossing. Old maps show this tunnel as the Daniel Boone Tunnel. The tunnel appears to have been bypassed when a new bridge was constructed across the Kentucky River.
The tunnel passes through this bluff which the new US 68 now bypasses.
