KY 1631 consists of Fern Valley Road west of Poplar Level Road (KY 864) and Crittenden Drive south of Eastern Parkway (Alternate US 60) in Jefferson County. As of July 21, 2003, Crittenden Drive/KY 1631 has been reopened along the western edge of Louisville International Airport.

Jefferson Boulevard Extension Opens
A 1.5-mile extension of Jefferson Boulevard between Outer Loop and Poplar Level Road in Jefferson County opened November paving the way for new developments in the area.

New Crittenden Drive Opens Near Louisville International Airport
A new four lane section of Crittenden Drive along the western edge of Louisville International Airport opened on Monday. That section of highway was closed in 1997 to allow for expansion of runways at the airport. The new section connects Crittenden Drive to Fern Valley Road south of the airport and provides better access to the UPS facility at the airport.
