Traffic Advisory: KY 1136 Closure Scheduled for this Weekend in Southern Hardin County
Work will connect the road to new US 31W roundabout
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (November 5, 2026) – This weekend, closure of KY 1136 (Gilead Church Road) will take place at US 31W in Southern Hardin County as contract crews tie in the road to the new roundabout. Work will begin around 8pm Friday and the road is expected to reopen by 8pm Sunday. Message boards are in place to alert local motorists of the upcoming work. Both directions of US 31W and Mackey Road will be open during this time.
All traffic on KY 1136 will detour west to KY 222 and turn right for US 31W access. Northbound traffic on US 31W will continue to KY 222 and turn left for KY 1136 access. Southbound traffic on US 31W will turn right onto KY 222 for KY 1136 access.
