Railroad repairs require U.S. 62 closure at Boston

Railroad repairs require U.S. 62 closure at Boston
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (Aug 18, 2010) — Repairs to the Kentucky Railway Museum’s rail crossing on U.S. 62 at Boston, in Nelson County, will require closure of the highway beginning Monday, Aug. 30. The road will be closed through Wednesday, Sept. 1.
During the closure, westbound motorists can detour around the crossing by taking KY 61 north from Boston to Interstate 65 southbound at Exit 105, and return to U.S. 62 at I-65 Exit 94 at Elizabethtown.
Eastbound traffic can detour via KY 52 south to the Bluegrass Parkway eastbound to the U.S. 31E exit at Bardstown, and north on U.S. 31 to U.S. 62.
