KYTC and the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety ran the "Not So Fast, Kentucky" speed-enforcement and awareness campaign through July 31, funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Officials said about a third of Kentucky's 2025 traffic deaths involved speeding or aggressive driving. KYTC has handed out more than 200 radar units to law enforcement over three years and began using automated speed enforcement in some active work zones in late 2025.
