TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Two-way Conversion of KY 2261 (Ann Street) between Mero and Clinton Street in Franklin County
Traffic pattern changes support two-way conversion of Ann Street from Mero Street to Broadway Street
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 7, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming change to the traffic pattern on KY 2261 (Ann Street) between Mero and Clinton Street in Franklin County, where the roadway will be converted from a one-way to a two-way tomorrow.
Pavement markings will be installed on KY 2261 (Ann Street) on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with intermittent lane closures possible to support the work. The new traffic pattern is being implemented to support an upcoming highway safety improvement project that will convert all of Ann Street from one-way to two-way traffic between Mero Street and Broadway Street, as well as Mero Street between St. Clair Street and Ann Street.
The two-way conversion of Ann Street is being coordinated with an upcoming resurfacing project extending along KY 420 from the intersection of W. Main Street and Ann Street north to the intersection of St. Clair Street and Clinton Street. The one-way to two-way conversion of Ann Street between Clinton and Broadway Street and asphalt resurfacing work are expected to take place in the coming weeks. Additional details regarding the upcoming one-way to two-way conversion and resurfacing project will be shared once the schedule is finalized.
As part of the conversion, new pavement markings and parking spaces will be added on KY 2261 (Ann Street).
Motorists should adhere to the new traffic pattern and exercise caution on this newly configured roadway.
