Bridge Replacement to Start Oct. 14 on Mexico Road Near Reiters View Road in Crittenden County
January estimated project completion

PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2026) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning to mobilize to Mexico Road (CR-1209) in Crittenden County starting as early as Wednesday, Oct. 14, for a bridge replacement project.

A new bridge will be built at mile point 2.46, about 2.5 miles northwest of KY 70 and near Reiters View Road. Crittenden County was awarded $550,000 for this project through the state's County-City Bridge Improvement Program (CCBIP).

Construction is expected to be completed by early to mid-January, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to self-detour. Please do not move or drive around road closed barricades, as they are in place to protect public safety.
