[Cover of the 2003 Official Highway Map]The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet released the 2003 version of the official highway map on May 29. There were no apparent major changes over the previous year's, except for the fact that on June 10, the map was modified to show the former Daniel Boone Parkway as the Hal Rogers Parkway.

The map is now available in rest areas. I picked up a copy at the Paducah Welcome Center yesterday. The cover art is a photograph of the William H. Natcher Bridge.

Where could one get a printed map? I have one but it's out of date and I'm not sure where it came from, it just appeared one day...

My ancestors and my husbands' ancestors are turning over in their graves over this renaming of the Dan'l Boone Parkway. It is bad enough to change the name, but to one of a living congressman---and I thought only Sen. Byrd ran the state of West Virginia. Sounds like he has a cohort in Rogers!

You should be able to pick up a copy of the map at most of Kentucky's rest areas. I found my copy at the welcome center off of I-24 in Padacuh.
