Chief Highway Engineers Appointed in Nine Districts
Gov. Fletcher and Transportation Secretary Bailey have appointed chief highway engineers for nine of the Division of Highways' twelve districts.
- Edward “Ted” Merryman has been appointed as Chief Highway Engineer for districts 1 and 2. Previously, Merryman was chief highway engineer for district 2. [more information

The transportation cabinet’s division of planning has recently released information regarding KY 30 on Jackson and Owsley Counties
and US 41A in Hopkins County

Upcoming Public Meetings
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has scheduled a number of public meetings to discuss road projects across the state.
- US 421: On March 18 from 5pm to 7pm a meeting will be held at Sandgap Elementary School in Sandgap to discuss the reconstruction of US 421 from McKee to the Rockcastle County line. [more information
] - KY 313: On April 12 from 5:30pm to 8pm a meeting will be held at Flaherty Elementary School in Ekron to discuss an extension to KY 313 from Vine Grove to Brandenburg.
- US 460: On April 27 from 5pm to 8pm a meeting will be held at Camargo Elementary School in Jeffersonville to discuss the reconstruction of US 460 from Jeffersonville to Means.

KY 30 Public Meetings in Jackson and Owsley County
The KYTC has released materials from two upcoming public meetings
regarding reconstruction of KY 30 in Owsley and Jackson Counties. The meetings will be held on October 4 in Tyner and October 9 in Booneville.
