TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Ramp Closure on I-64 East Beginning Friday, Oct. 23, in Shelby County
Contract crews to open newly reconstructed ramp
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of an upcoming overnight ramp closure on Interstate 64 East beginning Friday, Oct. 23, as part of the $118 million widening and improvement project of I-64 in Shelby County.
The existing eastbound off-ramp at Exit 35 (KY 53 – Mt. Eden Road) will be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, to 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26. The ramp closure is necessary for contract crews to install pavement tie-ins to open a newly reconstructed ramp.
