Traffic Impact Report for Oct. 11-17

PADUCAH, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet anticipates ongoing work zone construction and long-term maintenance activities at the following locations in District 1:

Ballard County
Part of the new U.S. 60 alignment in Ballard and McCracken counties has opened to traffic. Expect various traffic shifts as construction continues; use caution. Old U.S. 60 is blocked just west of E. Clarkline Road in Kevil until project completion, which is expected in November. NOTE: KY 995/Rice Springs Road is temporarily blocked at old U.S. 60 until mid-October as crews construct the connection to the new U.S. 60 alignment.

The Murray City Council recently approved a resolution that brings a proposed downtown business loop one step closed to construction. The $1.8 million project would extend from KY 121 south of downtown to KY 94. The project will be partially financed by nearly $1 million in federal funds.
