Part of the new US 60 corridor in Ballard County and McCracken County is open to traffic, and District 1’s weekly Roadshow now expects the project to be completed by the end of November (earlier reports said only “in November”). Traffic Impact Report for Nov. 8-14

PADUCAH, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet anticipates ongoing work zone construction and long-term maintenance activities at the following locations in District 1:

Ballard County
Part of the new U.S. 60 corridor in Ballard and McCracken counties has opened to traffic. Expect various traffic shifts as construction continues; use caution. Old U.S. 60 is blocked just west of E. Clarkline Road in Kevil until project completion, which is expected by the end of November.

Calloway County
Lane restriction in effect on KY 121 at MP 5.25, near New Concord, for the construction of a new bridge. One lane traffic with alternating flow and an 11-foot width restriction. Construction in two phases. Estimated project completion is summer 2027.

Carlisle County
Lane restriction in effect on U.S. 51 at MP 4.4, south of Bardwell, for the construction of a new bridge. One lane traffic with alternating flow and a 10.5-foot width restriction. Construction in two phases. Estimated project completion by the end of the year, weather permitting.

KY 1371 is closed at MP 5.02, between KY 1377 and KY 1935, for a bridge replacement project. Estimated completion is mid-January, weather permitting.

Crittenden County
Mexico Road (CR-1209) is closed at MP 2.46, about 2.5 miles northwest of KY 70 and near Reiters View Road, for a bridge replacement project. Estimated completion is mid-January, weather permitting.

Fulton County
KY 1099/7th St. is closed at MP 2.26, at its intersection with KY 125/Union City Highway in Hickman, for construction of a new box culvert. Marked detour via KY 1463. Traffic diversion on KY 125 at this intersection. Overall estimated project completion is around the end of November.

KY 94/E. Carroll Street is closed due to a slide near MP 12.7 in the city of Hickman. The roadway is closed to thru traffic.

KY 1907/Swamp Root Road is closed at MP 1.727 at the Little Bayou de Chien Bridge. KY 1907 connects KY 94 and KY 781 northeast of the Cayce community.

Graves County
Lane restrictions in effect on I-69, part of a 15-mile asphalt rehab project from mile point 24.9 to 40.1, near Exit 25 (U.S. 45) at Mayfield to south of Exit 41 (U.S. 641 Spur) at Benton. NOTE: Crews are completing final surfacing work in the section in Graves County. Reduced speed limit of 55 mph in the work zone. Estimated project completion is mid-November.

KY 1820/County Line Road is closed at MP 5, just east of KY 339, for a bridge replacement project. Overall estimated project completion is early January 2027, weather permitting. No through traffic between KY 339 and KY 1241; local access only.

KY 408 is closed at MP 1.8, just west of KY 339. Construction is underway to replace the bridge over Goose Creek. Estimated project completion is around the end of April 2027.

U.S. 45 is closed at MP 1.8, about a mile north of Water Valley, for the construction of a new bridge over Jackson Creek. Estimated project completion is by early December, weather permitting.

Hickman County
Lane restriction in effect on U.S. 51 at MP 2.4, located between KY 1529 and the Hickman-Fulton County Line, for the construction of a new bridge. One lane traffic with alternating flow and an 11-ft. width restriction. Construction in two phases. Estimated project completion by the end of July 2027.

Lyon County
New traffic pattern on I-24 westbound near Exit 45 (KY 293), between MP 45.1 and 50, using both lanes. Eastbound traffic is restricted to one lane until removal of temporary barrier wall, expected by the end of November. Work zone lane restrictions possible near Exit 45 for Phase 1 crossover removal and near Exit 56 for construction of Phase 2 crossover, as part of a 10-mile asphalt rehab project between Exit 45 in Lyon County and Exit 56 in Caldwell County. Phase 2 construction, between MP 50 and 55.4, expected to begin in spring 2027. Overall estimated project completion is Nov. 15, 2027.

Marshall County

KY 795/Scale Road is closed at MP 5, between Milliken Mill Lane and KY 782/Salyer Creek Road, for culvert construction. No through traffic; local access only. Estimated project completion is late December.

McCracken County
Lane restrictions in effect on the I-24 Ohio River Bridge between Paducah and Metropolis for Phase 2 of a bridge rehab project. One lane in each direction; 10.5-foot lane width restriction. Reduced speed limit of 55 mph in the work zone. IDOT: Phase 2 estimated completion is mid-November.

KY 787/Bryant Ford Road is closed at MP 1.56 due to the closure of a bridge. This is located south of U.S. 68, between Powers Road and Bypass Road. NOTE: This bridge replacement project is currently in the design phase; no estimate yet for letting or construction start date.

Lane restrictions in effect on U.S. 60 from MP 5.9-6.6, near KY 305 and Rickman Road in McCracken County. Reduced speed limit of 35 and 45 mph in and approaching the work zone. Converting intersection to an RCUT. NOTE: The center of the intersection at U.S. 60 & KY 305 is currently blocked, as well as the center of the intersection at U.S. 60 and Rickman Road. No left turns, use designated U-turn crossovers. Estimated project completion is around the end of the year, weather permitting.
